Rubbing from stele with annotations to 2 classic Confucian texts: "Xiao jing" (Classic of Filial Piety); "Jiu jing zi yang" (Characters in Nine Classics). Annotations written in Ming Dynasty; engraved by Wang Yaodian and others during Ming Dynasty, and currently located in Xi'ian bei lin.

General note: Script style: kai shu. ; Stele is from a group of 97 small stelae written and engraved by students from 3 Capital County schools in 16th. yr. of Wangli, Ming Dynasty (1588). The group of stelae was all corollary to various classical Confucian texts as addendum to "Kai cheng shi jing" which was damaged in a major earthquake (Guanzhong Earthquake) in 34th. yr. of Jiajing, Ming Dynasty (1555).
Historical: Stele date: 16th yr. of Wanli, Ming Dynasty (1588).
