Description:
Rubbing from pictorial relief carving of 1 large dragon (qing long- blue dragon) image between 2 "bi" jade designs. Other small animal images are also depicted, such as toad, rabbit, bird, bear etc. 1 human figure (feathered) depicted too. From group of "Dong an han li" slabs. Dated to late Western Han and early Eastern Han Dynasty (between 1st. century BCE to 1st. century AD).

General note: "Dong an han li,"-- a set of 7 slabs unearthed from Babaoshan (Babao Mountain), Yaowatou Village, east of Qufu City in 1937 and conserved now in the Confucian Temple at Qufu, Shandong Province, China. Among the 7 slabs, 1 slab was inscribed with "Dong an han li", thus the name. 10 pictorial images (entertainers and servants, legendary figures such as "Shentu" and "Yulei", and mythical animals such as 4 directions deities: "qinglong/blue-dragon", "baihu/white-tiger", "zhuque/red-sparrow" and "xuanwu/serpent-tortoise") and 1 inscription are included in these 7 slabs which actually had been a double-chambered stone coffin. Slabs are, approximately, dated to late Western Han and early Eastern Han Dynasty (between 1st. century BCE to 1st. century AD). ; Duplicate of B-80 (olvwork297823).
